Rivals to our goal of launching top class multimedia training

Our main focus when launching mediaroots was to match the level of quality set by companies.

We wanted to create video training for products created by multimedia companies such as adobe, apple, autodesk and Microsoft.

With video-based training tutorials the key is to identify the areas that you want to target, for example: audio, 3D animation and design, work for the web or video editing etc.

We developed the concept of core training, with the idea being to teach users how to learn photoshop, or learn flash through a process that we captured using screen capture also known as screencasting. The concept was similar to screencasts online format, but delivered in a DVD based training interface rather than an online learning environment or as some refer it ‘online training’.

Multimedia training enables multimedia learning through self study video lecturials aka tutorials. The online video training format is an area we want to look at further in the future.

Apple software training is a key area that is untapped in terms of multimedia software training or application training as companies don’t see the market as big enough, we want to change that.

Super Jam web development underway

Working with a young entrepreneur can have its advantages.

Currently developing a new website for Super Jam company, using the new Creative Suite, we have been working with Adobe Photoshop CS3 extended and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 to build this new website.

We will be going with a minimalistic style and trying to innovate as much as possible. The site will of course include a blog and other features, but we’ll let you know fully once we launch the site.

We always like supporting students and working with new businesses so this project seems perfect for us. If you’d like to work with our training company also, then feel free to contact us and we can discuss it further.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended 3D feature is way cool!

Been testing out this new 3D feature in Photoshop CS3 Extended and I can tell you now that it’s amazing.
It’s basically like having a fully fledged 3D app built inside of photoshop. You can apply textures in real time and see the results, the tools change inside of photoshop to pan, zoom etc like lightwave or maya or any other program that you may use.

These features work on both PC and mac which is great for cross platform computability which is not always possible with other 3D working environments.

Justin.TV still going strong

I must admit, I haven’t had much time to watch it, but technically advanced Justin TV is still going strong almost a month after it’s initial launch.

A real-life version of ED-TV, the show uses advanced web technology to follow the life of Justin live 24-7. Using a wireless camera attached to his head, he is able to walk around and broadcast video live, outputted using Adobe Flash Player 9.

Likely built using Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver, the site seems reasonably cool as well. He has managed to avoid prank calls to the emergency services and raids on his apartment, so I am interested to see how long he can keep it up.

Adobe After Effects CS3 BETA coming 16th April

News on the horizon is that Adobe are releasing BETA versions of Adobe After Effects CS3 as well as Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 on the 16th April. Why they would release Betas 2 weeks before the final launch - I do not know, I certainly wont be downloading them, will wait for the real thing instead.

No news on the launch date still, but assume it will be the 30th April.

Macromedia Director MX2004

Right, so many people are unsure of the future for Director, having been omitted from all the other Adobe products to benefit from the CS3 makeover, it looks like this could be the end.

However, despite products such as Adobe After Effects CS3 looking so appealing, we are looking for people who specialise in Macromedia Director as we have a few projects we need work on, so if this sounds good to you, please get in touch.

Adobe Creative Suite 3 not launching till July!

Further to our recent story claiming the 28th March date set for the Adobe launch presentation would not be the shipping date of the product, we can now confirm that Amazon have listed their estimated release date for the product as 1st July. I can only hope that this date will change after the Adobe CS3 launch event in 2 days, but we can only wait and see.

Adobe release Boxshots to complete CS3 branding

Adobe announced their ‘colour wheel’ branding scheme for their CS3 products’ icons in December 2006, with the icons colour coded and each application assigned a two letter representation. As seen below:
